Free admission! Trees, pots, and bonsai accessories are available for purchase.
Visit the exhibit to see amazing trees trained for decades, along with younger bonsai beginning the process. Club members will be there to provide helpful tips on growing and styling bonsai.
Jim Doyle, an international bonsai guru with trees in the National Bonsai and Penjing Museum in Washington, DC, will be giving constructive insight on the trees on Sunday afternoon, starting around 1 pm. He will also give a Bonsai Inspiration talk, which is definitely worthwhile hearing!
Then bring your purchased bonsai tree(s) back to club meetings for help and become a bonsai artist-in-training. Seriously, the senior club members will help you! That’s how I got started 8 years ago… now I have 20 trees!?!
